Oshitoishi Hill (押戸石の丘) 押戸石の丘

Nine rows of boulders at 845 m on the Aso plateau; the largest is 5.5 m tall. 300 yen.

Grassland at 845 m on the outer rim of the Aso caldera, scattered with nine groups of megaliths arranged by human hands: the ‘mirror stone’ bears carvings that some read as Sumerian characters, and the rocks are so magnetic that they send a compass haywire.
