Jōgasaki Coast (城ヶ崎海岸) 城ヶ崎海岸・門脇つり橋

Lava from Mount Ōmuro, 4,000 years ago: the Jōgasaki Suspension Bridge is 23 m above the waves.

The coast is part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and stretches for several kilometres between headlands of volcanic rock and coastal pine groves. Two trails run along it: a scenic route of about 9 km and a nature trail of about 6 km through the primary forest that covers the lava.
