Jindai Botanical Garden 神代植物公園

The name ‘Jindai’ survives only here: 400 varieties of roses, 5,200 plants, 500 yen

Opened in 1961, it is the first and only public botanical garden in Tokyo. The operator's official page states that the historic place name ‘神代’ survives only here, having disappeared from current use everywhere else (source read by verification batch L09, LETT.). In 2009 the rose garden won an award from the World Federation of Rose Societies. The area open to the public is 514,039.70 m² as of 1/2/2025, according to the official management plan of the Tokyo Metropolis.
