Hamanako Garden Park (浜名湖ガーデンパーク) 浜名湖ガーデンパーク

A 56-hectare park with free entry: the 50 m observation tower costs 300 yen.

The park was created on the site of the 2004 International Expo of Flowers and Greenery (浜名湖花博), on the Murakushi peninsula, within Lake Hamana. Across its 56 hectares you find, one after another, a flower garden inspired by Monet's at Giverny, a meadow of nemophila in spring, a 50-metre observation tower and a canal you travel along by boat.
