Iga Ueno Castle (伊賀上野城) 伊賀上野城

The stone wall is 29.7 metres high: the second highest in Japan after Osaka's.

Founded in 1585 by Tsutsui Sadatsugu, the castle was enlarged by Tōdō Takatora from 1611. The current tower, also called Iga Bunka Sangyō-jō, is a three-storey wooden building from 1935 that houses a small museum.
