Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum イサム・ノグチ庭園美術館
Open for visits only on Tue/Thu/Sat, three sessions a day by booking, one group at a time.
Isamu Noguchi (1904–1988), a Japanese-American sculptor and designer, settled in Mure, drawn by the thousand-year-old tradition of working Aji stone. The museum, established by the foundation that bears his name, opened in 1999, eleven years after his death, to preserve the studio and the works exactly as he had left them.
