Ishite-ji (石手寺) 石手寺

The Niōmon, a National Treasure from 1318: the legend of the Shikoku pilgrimage was born here.

Founded in 728 by imperial decree, a short walk from Dōgo Onsen. It is part of the pilgrimage of the 88 temples of Shikoku (四国八十八箇所).
