Katsurahama (桂浜) 桂浜
Sudden waves mean swimming is banned: rescue drills have been held since 2011, after a drowning.
The area now occupied by the park was the site of Urado Castle (1591), built by Chōsokabe Motochika; it was abandoned when Yamauchi Kazutoyo moved the seat of the domain to Kochi Castle in 1603. Today the park includes Katsurahama Aquarium and the Sakamoto Ryōma Memorial Museum (opened in November 1991, new wing in April 2018).
