Kirishima Shrine (霧島神宮) 霧島神宮

The red lacquerwork of the 1715 buildings became a National Treasure in 2022.

A Shinto shrine dedicated to the deities of the heavenly descent in the Japanese founding myth, with the rank of Kanpei Taisha since 1874. On 9 February 2022 the main building, the offering hall and the worship hall were designated a National Treasure.
