Yoshino kudzu — Tengyokudo 吉野本葛 天極堂
It has been processing Yoshino kudzu since 1870: today it has seven outlets in the prefecture.
Kudzu is the starch obtained from the root of a climbing plant common in Japanese woodland; the kudzu from the Yoshino area, in the south of Nara Prefecture, is considered the best in the country. The Tengyokudo company has been processing it since 1870.
