Kurashiki Ivy Square (倉敷アイビースクエア) 倉敷アイビースクエア

The ivy on the red bricks regulated the temperature when cotton was spun here (1889).

Recognised as heritage of industrial modernisation in 2007; it hosted G7 ministerial meetings in 2016 and in 2023. A few steps from the Bikan district, it shares Kurashiki's mercantile and industrial origins with that area.
