Tsunami Memorial Museum (東日本大震災津波伝承館) 東日本大震災津波伝承館（いわてTSUNAMIメモリアル）

Opened in 2019, with free admission, it tells the story of the 2011 tsunami and of the reconstruction.

National facility for passing on the memory of the disaster, run by Iwate Prefecture in the Takata-Matsubara Memorial Park in Rikuzentakata, the city that lost almost 1,800 inhabitants in the 2011 tsunami.
