Ōme Kimono Museum 青梅きもの博物館

In a 200-year-old storehouse: Prince Nashimoto's kimono for the 1915 coronation

The museum, in the Yoshino-baigō area of Ōme, holds a private collection of more than 500 Japanese garments from the Edo period onwards (court robes, samurai robes, robes of merchant families) inside a masonry storehouse about two hundred years old. The exhibitions change with the seasons: as of September 2026 an exhibition on the Silk Road was running.
