The 1783 lava flow is 5.5 km long: it looked as if demons had pushed it out.

A private park run by the Prince Hotels group on the site of the lava flow from the Tenmei eruption of Mount Asama (1783), one of the most violent in Japanese history, which contributed to the great Tenmei famine through the ash that reached as far as the stratosphere.
