Haboro Port (羽幌港) 羽幌港
The port is the heart of the home town of the mangaka Shiina Karuho, the model for the little town of Kitahoro where Sawako lives: the scenes with the cold wind, the fishing boats and the Hokkaidō sky come back in every winter season. About a hundred metres away is Haboro Shrine (羽幌神社), where Sawako and Kazehaya go together for hatsumōde in the final episode.
The shrine's shamusho, at Minami-Ōdōri 6-1, is one of the five facilities where the town installed life-size panels of the characters in 2025, for the ‘マンガでつなぐ未来’ project.
