Sasagawa-nagare (笹川流れ) 笹川流れ

Eleven kilometres of cliffs and caves, a Natural Monument since 1927: you tour them by boat.

Sasagawa-nagare is the stretch of Sea of Japan coast in the municipality of Murakami, eleven kilometres of eroded rock that since 1927 have been a national Place of Scenic Beauty (名勝) and Natural Monument (天然記念物). The name comes from the tidal current that flows between the rocks, near the settlement of Sasagawa.
