Senaga Island and Umikaji Terrace 瀬長島ウミカジテラス

Forty-seven shops on a white hillside, under the Naha flight path.

Senaga is a small island about a kilometre and a half round, off Naha, linked by a raised road. Requisitioned by the American military after the war and used as a Navy ammunition depot, it was returned in 1977. The Umikaji commercial terrace opened on 1 August 2015 on the slope of the west coast.
