Home of the Carp, the baseball team, since 2009: tours of 60–80 minutes, 1,800–2,000 yen.
Construction of the new stadium of the Hiroshima Tōyō Carp began on 26 November 2007 and ended with the completion ceremony on 28 March 2009. It covers 50,472.42 square metres and has 33,000 seats, 50 centimetres wide and 85 deep, ‘as in Major League ballparks’, the team states on its official page. The north side opens towards the railway to let in air and light, and so that people passing by train can see the stadium.
