Sueyama Shrine, the porcelain torii 陶山神社

The Sasebo Line train crosses the approach path, in front of the porcelain torii.

Founded in 1658 by order of the magistrate of the Arita kiln district, under the original name Arita Sarayama Sōbyō Hachiman-gū. Together with Ōjin Tennō, it enshrines Ri Sanpei, the Korean potter to whom tradition attributes the start of porcelain production in Arita.
