Takahata Fudōson, Kongō-ji 高幡不動尊金剛寺
A temple with a Fudōdō from 1342, a cultural property since 1946; the Okuden has paid entry, 500 yen.
A Buddhist temple counted among the ‘three great Fudō of the Kantō’, with a Fudōdō from 1342 (the oldest surviving building in Tokyo) and a five-storey pagoda built in the '80s. It is the funerary temple of Hijikata Toshizō, vice-commander of the Shinsengumi, and every year it hosts the first day of the municipal festival dedicated to him, in May, around the day of his death.
