You eat on platforms built over the stream, from 1 April to the end of November.

The stretch of valley along the Kiyotaki stream below the temples of Takao. *Kawadoko* is the name of the wooden platforms that restaurants set up over the water to serve meals on; here there are three: Momijiya, the Takao hotel and the Kinsuitei.
