Toba Aquarium (鳥羽水族館) 鳥羽水族館

It is home to the only dugong in captivity in Japan, which arrived from the Philippines in 1987.

Opened on 15 May 1955 as the twenty-sixth aquarium in Japan, it moved to its current site between 1990 and 1994. It covers 24,981 square metres with 6,000 tonnes of water.
