Tottori Castle — Kyūshō Kōen (鳥取城跡・久松公園) 鳥取城跡・久松公園
Hideyoshi's siege of 1581: after two months people were eating roots and corpses from hunger.
Seat of the 32 万石 of the Tottori domain throughout the Edo period, the castle was dismantled in the Meiji Restoration and today remains as a ruin (walls, moats and the base of the keep) in the public park of Kyūshō, selected among the 日本100名城 (no. 63) in 2006. About 240 someiyoshino cherry trees surround it.
