Urakami Cathedral 浦上天主堂

Destroyed 500 m from the hypocentre in '45: a restored bell has been ringing again since 2025.

Rebuilt in reinforced concrete and completed on 1 November 1959, after a temporary chapel put up in December 1946, it has been the seat of the Catholic diocese of Nagasaki since 1962 and has about 7,000 parishioners.
