Privacy – The Anime Trip

1. Who processes your data
The data controller is Stefano Fusani. For any questions about this page, write to info@theanimetrip.com.
2. What data we collect
To create an account you need an email address and a password. We never see the password: Supabase keeps it, encrypted.
If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address that Google passes to us.
We save your trip: the calendar and favourites, up to three trips per account.
We do not collect payment data. For data processed through the ads, see point 8.
3. Why we use this data
For saving your trips, running the advanced planner and showing you the full guide, the legal basis is the performance of the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For ads, see point 8.
Il sito può mostrare annunci tramite Ezoic. I link ai partner (punto 9) sono uguali per tutti: non dipendono da chi sei né da quel che hai scritto.
4. Who holds the data
Supabase Inc. è responsabile del trattamento, con un accordo DPA firmato; i server stanno nell'Unione Europea, in Irlanda. Se scegli di accedere con Google, anche Google tratta i dati che ti passa. Ezoic e i suoi partner pubblicitari, fra cui Google, possono trattare i dati relativi agli annunci, come indicato al punto 8.
5. The AI reads your calendar
When you use the advanced planner, the text you write in the calendar goes to Google (Vertex AI), which reads it to understand where you want to go. This is a transfer to a provider based in the United States, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Vertex AI receives only the calendar text: not your email, not your name.
6. How long we keep the data
As long as your account exists. ‘Delete account’, in the user menu, deletes your account and trips straight away, with no copies left behind.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere (you can export your trip from the map) or object to its processing. Write to the contact in section 1. If you think your rights aren't being respected, you can contact the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
8. Cookies
Per l'accesso usiamo un cookie tecnico. Il sito carica anche il codice di Ezoic, che gestisce gli annunci: quando il servizio pubblicitario è attivo, Ezoic e i suoi partner, fra cui Google, possono trattare dati e usare cookie o tecnologie simili per mostrare e misurare gli annunci. Nello Spazio economico europeo, nel Regno Unito e in Svizzera, alla prima visita un messaggio ti chiede se acconsenti ai cookie pubblicitari. Se non acconsenti puoi usare il sito come prima: gli annunci, se ci sono, non sono personalizzati. Per cambiare la scelta, cancella i cookie di questo sito e il messaggio ricompare. The background maps come from external providers (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Esri), which see your IP address, like any web server you load an image from.
9. Affiliate links
Some links to booking sites (hotels, activities, tickets) are affiliate links: if you book through them, the site receives a commission. The price doesn't change for you. The server counts the click through to the partner, with the same anonymous hash used for visits, without your name or your email. From there on you're on the partner's site, and its privacy rules and cookies apply.
10. The access log
The server records the pages it serves, with a hash of the IP address that can't be reversed: it's only used to count visits. No external analytics service.
11. Changes
If the text changes, the date at the top of this page changes.
