About us
The Anime Trip is a map of Japan for planning your trip: the real places of anime and manga, together with castles, temples, gardens, onsen and festivals, with opening hours, visit length, nearby stations and a planner that puts the stops in order day by day.
It's made by Stefano Fusani. The site is independent: it isn't tied to animation studios, publishers or tourist boards, and no place pays to appear.
Where the data comes from
Every page is written by hand and cites its sources: the places' official websites, tourist boards, the series' pages. The maps come from OpenStreetMap, CARTO and Esri, walking and driving times from OpenStreetMap.
Opening hours and prices change: before you set off, it's always worth checking the place's website. If you find a mistake, write to us and we'll correct it.
