Ten eateries under the station's north underpass, open only after 17:00.
Under the underpass on the north side of Fukui Station, a row of ten or more eateries opens only as the sun goes down: Korean food, fresh fish with local sake, takoyaki, grilled hormone, yakitori and a wine bar side by side, each with its own sign and its own hours. By day the underpass is just a way through; in the evening it becomes the place to go.
A food arcade two minutes' walk from JR Fukui Station and from the Echizen Railway's Fukui Station, set up to bring together in one place the variety of food that would otherwise be scattered across the city.
ℹ️ Open from about 17:00 to midnight, with hours varying for each eatery (up-to-date information only on their own social media accounts). No car park on site: paid car parks nearby are recommended. Shared toilets, separate for men and women.
