Twenty-two varieties of wisteria cover two flowering tunnels, 80 and 110 metres long.

Walking through the two wisteria tunnels, 80 and 110 metres long, you pass twenty-two different varieties of the plant, from white to deep violet. Flowering runs from late April to mid-May, with variations from one year to the next; a second season, for the autumn foliage, reopens the garden between mid-November and early December.

The garden has been viral since 2012, after appearing on several foreign online lists of the ‘most beautiful places in the world’; contrary to what you often read, however, there is no record of a specific CNN nomination.

ℹ️ Tickets cost 500–1,500¥ in spring (the price varies with the state of the bloom) and 300¥ in autumn. In high season they can only be bought online, in advance: there are no last-minute tickets on site.
