Free observation deck 6:30–22:00 over the ANA runways, with a view of Tokyo Bay at sunset
On the fifth floor of Terminal 2, the deck looks towards Tokyo Bay: at sunset, according to several reviews, it becomes a popular spot for photos and marriage proposals. Below, on the runways, it is mostly ANA domestic flights that take off and land. It is not to be confused with ‘FLIGHT DECK TOKYO’, the indoor observation floor of the same terminal, which has its own entrance and hours.
Terminal 2, mainly for ANA domestic flights, opened in December 2004; its monorail station changed its name from ‘Haneda Kūkō Dai-ni Biru’ to ‘Haneda Kūkō Dai-ni Terminal’ on 14 March 2020, the same day Terminal 3 was renamed. The fifth-floor observation deck is one of the airport's two, free and with longer hours than those of an ordinary weekday, but not open 24 hours a day like the Terminal 3 deck.
ℹ️ Open from 6:30 to 22:00, every day; free entry (tokyo-haneda.com). There is also an indoor observation floor, ‘FLIGHT DECK TOKYO’, with longer hours (5:00–23:00) but separate from the outdoor deck: visitors can confuse the two. It is reached from ‘Haneda Airport Terminal 2’ station on the monorail and Keikyū, inside the same building.
