The highest waterfall on the island, twenty-five metres seventy, and it has been closed for two years.

You used to reach it by a kilometre and a half of trail through the Yanbaru forest, about forty minutes each way, with some rope-assisted stretches and a suspension bridge, up to a raised walkway in front of the falls. There was a rope around the pool, and the signs said not to go into the water because someone had already drowned there.

It is the highest waterfall on the main island of Okinawa, twenty-five metres seventy, in Yanbaru National Park, in Kunigami. The trail started from a campsite.

ℹ️ ⚠️ It cannot be visited at present: the trail, the campsite and the car park have been closed since 12 November 2024, after the record rainfall of 9–10 November 2024 made the Hiji River burst its banks and destroyed the footpath. The Kunigami tourism association, updating its notice in August 2025, expects that reopening will take some years. Information on 0980-41-2420.
