From 27 March 2026 you can climb aboard CORLEO, the 4-legged robot that came from the Osaka Expo.

The museum takes up one floor of the Kobe Maritime Museum: you sit astride real racing motorcycles, step into the driver's cab of a 0 Series Shinkansen car and climb aboard a life-size KV-107 helicopter. Since March 2026 a new hall has also housed CORLEO, the four-legged off-road motorcycle concept shown at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

The museum opened in 2006 inside the Kobe Maritime Museum, on a floor of almost 2,000 square metres devoted to Kawasaki Heavy Industries: one hall tells the story of the founder Kawasaki Shōzō and the first president Matsukata Kōjirō, another traces more than a century of products, from the Meiji-era shipyards to Japan's first industrial robot. Since March 2026 a new hall has also housed the full-size model of the ALICE transport system, which came here from the Osaka-Kansai Expo together with CORLEO: no longer temporary Expo exhibits, but displays moved permanently to the museum.

ℹ️ Open 10:00–18:00 (last entry 17:30), closed on Mondays (the following day if Monday is a public holiday) and from 29 December to 3 January. The ticket is combined with the Kobe Maritime Museum: adults 900 yen, children/students 400 yen. You can take photos everywhere, including while sitting astride the motorcycles or in the Shinkansen cab.
