The only garden in the world allowed to use the name ‘Monet’, apart from Giverny itself.
Opened in 2000 on two hectares, it reproduces the gardens that Claude Monet painted at Giverny: the water lily pond, the flower garden and a Mediterranean corner dedicated to Bordighera, where the painter stayed in 1884. Permission to use the Monet name comes from the Académie des Beaux-Arts, which runs the Claude Monet Foundation: no other garden in the world, apart from the French original, has it.
About 1,000 species of flowers and 55,000 plants, including blue water lilies, which are rare in Japan. More than two million visitors since opening (2023 figures).
ℹ️ Open 9:00–17:00 (last entry 16:30), 1,000 yen adults, 500 yen children. Florist, gallery and café on site.
