The Michelin Green Guide gives three stars to the view from 334 metres up.
From the 334-metre summit, the city of Hakodate appears squeezed between the Tsugaru Strait and the bay, in an hourglass shape that makes its night view one of the ‘three great night views of Japan’ (日本三大夜景), together with Kobe and Nagasaki. The second edition of the Michelin Green Guide Japan awarded three stars to the view from here. The ropeway takes about 3 minutes to go up.
