Ten eateries under one roof since 2013, shared tables until midnight.

In the heart of the Higashimuki area, a building that opened in September 2013 brings together ten independent eateries (a tavern, tempura and fried chicken, sushi and oysters, duck, curry, Chinese food, takoyaki, a café, yakitori), each with its own counter on the ground floor, with table and tatami seating on the floor above: you can order from the menu of any of them while sitting at the same table. Closed on the second Thursday of the month.

‘Yokocho’ (横丁) is Japanese for an alley or building with several eateries side by side: here the form is a dedicated building, not an open street, but the function (several kitchens under the same roof, shared tables) is the same as in the alleys of Osaka or Tokyo.

ℹ️ Opening hours: 11:00–16:00 (last order 15:30) and 17:00–24:00 (last order 23:30); closed on the second Thursday of the month. 5 minutes' walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, along Higashimuki Street.
