One hundred and sixty items, fifty types of weapon: in the dojo inside, you throw real shuriken.
The display cases line up real weapons of fifty different types (star and bar shuriken, chain weapons, armour), up to one hundred and sixty pieces in all. Beyond the exhibition route, an equipped dojo lets you throw metal shuriken at a target: five stars for 300 yen, eight bar darts for 500, with a prize for anyone who hits the target.
A private museum opened in the Nishi Chaya district, one of Kanazawa's three historic teahouse districts: it collects weapons and tools linked to the figure of the ninja, presented together with their practical function rather than as mere display-case curiosities.
ℹ️ Open 10:00–17:00. Ticket: adults 800 yen, students 700, children up to 12 years old 400, under-3s free. Shuriken-throwing experience: 300 yen for 5 stars or 500 yen for 8 bar darts. 10 minutes by car from Kanazawa Station, 3 minutes’ walk from Hirokōji bus stop.
