Tokyo Ginki silverware, 99.9% pure: a 12th-generation workshop, by booking only.
In the Iriya workshop a twelfth-generation silversmith hammers 99.9% pure silver, against the 92.5% of the common sterling standard. The guided experiences range from a 60-minute bookmark to a bowl taking 240 minutes or more, all by booking only, by phone or fax.
The workshop makes traditional Tokyo silverware (東京銀器, Tokyo Ginki), hammered by a family of silversmiths (銀師, shirogane-shi) now in its twelfth generation; the master who runs the shop has received the 黄綬褒章, the Japanese Medal with Yellow Ribbon for excellence in craftsmanship. On 11 August 2025 the experience room moved from Misuji to Senzoku 2-34-10, while the production workshop and the registered office remain at Misuji 1-3-13.
ℹ️ Experience room and shop with stated hours 10:00–17:00, with possible closures announced by phone on event days (official website, nisshin-kikinzoku.com). All experiences are strictly by booking: basic course (silver bookmark) 60 minutes from 7,700 yen, intermediate (ring or pendant) 90 minutes, advanced (guinomi, a small sake cup) from 240 minutes, over 110,000 yen.
