Opened in 1893, completed in 1911: today 600 cherry trees and 5,000 azaleas, and a free funfair.
The park began as Isesaki's city park, with work starting in 1893 and finishing in 1911. Today it has about 600 someiyoshino cherry trees, in bloom from late March to early April, and about 5,000 azaleas that flower after them until early May; on evenings during the blossom season the illuminations stay on and the small funfair inside the park, with free entry, stays open in the evening. The Ferris wheel gives you a view of the cherry trees from above.

The park, with its Ferris wheel and amusement park rides, appears in the school trip scenes and in the moments when Mio, Yūko and Mai are having fun. The Ferris wheel can be recognised in several shots of the series.
