Founded in 851, it has a cherry tree, the ‘七五三桜’, that blooms twice: in spring and autumn.
The shrine was founded in 851 by Fujiwara no Tsuguyoshi (a descendant of Fujiwara no Kamatari), who found a large cherry tree here and dedicated a small shrine to it: it is the oldest in Noda. A ‘shichigosan-zakura’, a variety that blooms in both spring and autumn, still grows in the grounds, as well as a weeping willow next to the first torii.
A shrine in Noda, one of the oldest in the area, famous for the sakura that gave it its name.
ℹ️ Free entry, accessible at all times; the shrine is in Fujimi Park in Noda.
