Tradition dates its founding to the reign of the fifth emperor, Kōshō, about two thousand four hundred years ago, but the date is not established: the shrine itself suggests the period when rice farming spread through the Kantō. Edo-period documents describe it as having very large grounds in Ochiai. You pray here to ward off misfortune and for the safety of your family.
ℹ️ Grounds always accessible. The themed items are no longer available.

It is not a setting: the shrine was one of the six places of worship (three in Tokyo, three in Kyoto) in the official collaboration ‘わたしの幸せな良縁結び’, from 16 November to 15 December 2023, with omamori, goshuinchō and goshuin dedicated to Miyo and Kiyoka. The two omamori, modelled on the protagonists' outfits, form a couple's amulet when placed side by side. The initiative has ended, and the omamori and goshuin were never sold online.
