The ‘Hachitama’ sphere, 100 m up: 800 yen, closed on Mondays, 270° view.
The large titanium sphere suspended between the two towers, on the 25th floor, houses a paid observation room looking over Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay across 270 degrees, not the 360 that the name ‘Hachitama’ would suggest. The building, 123.45 metres tall, is by the architect Tange Kenzō: according to English-language Wikipedia, the last project he directed personally. It closes at 18:00, so the night view can only be seen in the months when the sun sets earlier.
The headquarters of the Fuji TV television network, officially FCGビル, stands on the artificial island of Daiba, in Tokyo Bay. It was designed by Tange Kenzō and completed in 1996. The titanium sphere suspended between the two towers, its most recognisable feature, contains conference rooms and, on the 25th floor, the observation room open to the public.
ℹ️ Open 10:00–18:00, entry until 30 minutes before closing; closed on Mondays (on Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday). Tickets: adults (high school and up) 800 yen, elementary and junior high school children 500 yen, free for children under 6.
