The largest Korea Town in Japan, and inside it there is also an Islamic alley.

The Tokyo tourism board calls it 「日本最大のコリアンタウン」 and 「K-POPファンの聖地」. On the street you eat standing up (hotteok, tteokbokki), and the shops sell K-pop merchandise alongside Korean condiments. ⚠️ And it is not only Korean: there is an 「イスラム横丁」, an Islamic alley with Indonesian, Malaysian and South Indian restaurants, and spice shops.

Numerous Korean and Muslim communities live in Ōkubo, and the neighbourhood grew up around them. The origins and development of these communities are not documented in the available tourist material.

ℹ️ Public streets, open at any hour; opening hours are those of the individual shops and restaurants. Shin-Ōkubo Station on the Yamanote Line, or Ōkubo on the Chūō Line.
