The winter illumination won an International Illumination Award 2023 for its story.

Opened in 2001 in Sodegaura, on the other side of Tokyo Bay, it is an outdoor German-style park with seasonal flower fields, a small children's zoo and a few rides. From late autumn to early spring it becomes one of the major illumination parks in Kanto: the edition themed ‘Gulliver's Travels’ won the award for best story at the International Illumination Award 2023.

A Bavarian-style theme park opened in 2001 in Sodegaura, Chiba, on former farmland. Out of season it is mainly a park of flowers and family activities; in winter it is known for its illumination.

ℹ️ Admission: adults ¥1,000 (source: official tourism portal of Chiba Prefecture, maruchiba.jp; ⚠️ another source, jalan.net, gave ¥800: the figure has not been confirmed by a second reading, and the prefectural source's figure has been preferred). Opening hours are typically 9:30–17:00 with last entry at 16:00, extended on illumination evenings: check the official calendar. Reachable in about 60–90 minutes from Tokyo, by car or bus.
