It sells the catch of Chōshi, the port that was first in Japan by volume for 12 years up to 2022.
Facing Chōshi port, the stalls sell fish landed that same morning, together with preserved and smoked products. For twelve consecutive years (up to 2022) Chōshi port was Japan's top port by volume of catch, driven mainly by sardines and mackerel.
Uosse21 is the direct sales centre for the fish and seafood of Chōshi port, with a seafood restaurant on the upper floor and, next door, the Chōshi Port Tower.
