The hire bikes are all electric, ¥2,500 a day, and there are none for children.
At the counter the growers of Wazuka each sell their own tea under their own name, not blended with the others, and next to it is the café with a view over the fields. Outside there are forty parking spaces (the only car park the tourist board authorises for going up to the plantations) and the pedal-assisted bikes, which you book online.
A base in the town of Wazuka, which lives on tea: it brings together a café, the tourist information office and a counter where the growers sell directly. It is also the only bike hire in the area and the only authorised car park for anyone going to see the plantations.
ℹ️ It opens at 10:00 and closes at 17:00, or at 16:30 on winter weekdays: that is early, and anyone counting on having dinner here has come to the wrong place. Bikes are collected and returned during opening hours, booked online and cancelled within two days by phone or at info@wazukacha-cafe.com. ⚠️ There are no bikes for children: a family with small children has to go on foot, and between one plantation and the next there is a lot of climbing up and down. Forty parking spaces.
