They're real. And you can go there.

The Japan of a thousand years ago and the one you've learned to dream of, on the same map. Temples, shrines, neighbourhoods, castles, small stations, streets and corners that have become familiar on screen.

Choose the places you want to see and the site turns them into an itinerary, organising days, travel, trains and real timetables.

Because Japan isn't just a destination to visit, but a story to travel through.

what it is

Choosing the place is easy. Getting there, a little less so.

How long it takes you, which train to catch, where to sleep so you don't cover the same ground twice. Usually these are all things you have to work out on your own, with ten tabs open. Here, Michi, your travel concierge, takes care of it.
