Neighbourhood library of the municipality of Hamamatsu, in a residential area west of the station. Next to it is the JR Tōkai depot where Shinkansen trains are maintained (famous for the only level crossing in Japan crossed by a Shinkansen), and it is the city library with the richest collection on railways.
ℹ️ Closed on Mondays; on the other days it opens at 9:00 and closes at 18:00, on Fridays at 19:00. The opening calendar is on the website of the Hamamatsu library system. Free car park with 32 spaces. The road in front is narrow: for the anime's head-on shot you need a wide-angle lens.

In the eleventh episode Tapris comes here to learn how to use a computer: she does not know what a mouse is, she does not know what a keyboard is, and at the end of the holiday she announces that she has learnt C and Java. The façade matches piece by piece, apart from a few colours; the interior does not, and this library has no computers for the public. The umbrella stand to the right of the entrance is really there, though, while the automatic door is not push-button, so the little scene of Tapris not knowing how to open it could not happen here.
