Founded in 1891 in Katsunuma, today part of the city of Kōshū, by Tsuchiya Ryūken: in 1877 he was one of the first two Japanese sent to France to study winemaking, and on returning home he applied the techniques he had learnt to the local Kōshū grape, founding in 1891 the winery that bears his name. The region is considered the cradle of Japanese viticulture and winemaking, with the Kōshū grape as its historic variety.
ℹ️ Open 9:00–17:00. Free tastings in the boutique (some labels for a fee). 10 minutes by car from Katsunuma-budōkyō Station.
