You walk on the glass of the ‘coral sea’ with fish swimming beneath your feet.
In the ‘coral sea’ tank a glass floor suspended above the water lets visitors walk with the fish swimming beneath their feet; in the large ocean tank a shoal of sardines circles en masse. From an underwater tunnel you can watch the penguins swim as if they were flying, and a hands-on area lets you touch seals, sharks, rays, a large octopus and the Echizen crab.
An aquarium on the Sea of Japan coast next to Tojinbo, with an explicitly practical, experiential theme: sea turtles, seals, sea otters, a dolphin show and a penguin area are among the main attractions, as well as guided behind-the-scenes tours and overnight programmes in the facility.
ℹ️ Check the official site for current opening hours and prices: the options include general admission, group rates, an annual pass and discounted e-tickets. Pets are not allowed.
