The deep-sea section was made with JAMSTEC, the oceanographic institute.
It stands on the landward side, facing Katase beach, and looks out over the bay whose life it displays. What sets it apart from other aquariums is the deep-sea section, set up together with JAMSTEC, the national oceanographic research institute, and redone from January 2026. The shows are short and repeat (ten minutes, ten minutes, fifteen), so they do not impose a schedule on your day.
An aquarium in Fujisawa overlooking Sagami Bay, whose deep trench is home to the animals shown in the section created with JAMSTEC. It displays local wildlife, jellyfish, dolphins and pinnipeds.
