The cabin travels 723 metres of cable over Lake Hamana in about 4 minutes, and according to the operator it is the only ropeway in Japan that passes over a lake; it stops when the wind exceeds 10 metres per second. At the top, the music box museum holds over 70 pieces and, at :10 and :40 past every hour, plays three automatic instruments together for about 15 minutes; the staff also give guided demonstrations of 20–30 minutes.
